El que fuera presidente del sindicato francés FNSEA desde el 2001 al 2010, Jean-Michel Lemetayer, falleció el pasado miércoles día 31 de un ataque al corazón. La noticia ha consternado el mundo agrario del país vecino al ser uno de sus grandes líderes agrarios con responsabilidades todavía muy recientes. Este ganadero de vacuno de leche de la Bretaña luchó por la soberanía alimentaria en Francia y en Europa, fue azote constante contra las imposiciones de la gran distribución,  buscó alianzas con los consumidores, luchó por una PAC más justa y buscó el reconocimiento y la imagen que el campo se merece. Fue un hombre de convicciones y un servidor apasionado del mundo de la agricultura.<\/div>\n
