Cualquier recorte adicional al presupuesto de la PAC es inaceptable. La propuesta de la Comisi&#243;n supondr&#237;a ya un recorte del 10% en el presupuesto de la PAC y las anteriores propuestas del Sr. Van Rompuy, Presidente del Consejo, habr&#237;an entra&#241;ado recortes tremendos en los pagos directos de los agricultores; hasta el 30% en algunos pa&#237;ses, lo cual resulta inaceptable. Ello acarrear&#237;a un aumento del desempleo en las zonas rurales de la UE, as&#237; como el riesgo de agravar la crisis econ&#243;mica. <\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">&#160;<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">Sin la PAC, habr&#237;a 27pol&#237;ticas agr&#237;colas diferentes en 27 Estados miembros, que le costar&#237;an a los gobiernos mucho m&#225;s de los que les cuesta la PAC. El gasto en agricultura debe mantenerse en sus niveles actuales hasta 2020, para asegurar la viabilidad de un sector agr&#237;cola capaz de satisfacer la demanda alimentaria e impulsar el crecimiento y el empleo en las zonas rurales de la UE&#34;.<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">&#160;<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">Los agricultores ya se est&#225;n viendo afectados por los elevados costes de los insumos, que los precios del mercado apenas cubren, as&#237; como por la volatilidad extrema, las normativas onerosas y las obligaciones a las cuales no est&#225;n sujetas las importaciones que llegan a la UE.<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">&#160;<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">Cualquier recorte adicional es simplemente inviable. Tambi&#233;n son necesarias las &#250;ltimas innovaciones en tecnolog&#237;as de producci&#243;n, para reforzar la productividad de la agricultura europea y responder a la creciente demanda mundial de alimentos, que deber&#225; incrementarse en un 70% de aqu&#237; a 2050.<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">&#160;<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">Adem&#225;s, el Copa-Cogeca organiza una reuni&#243;n de alto nivel en Bruselas, el 6 de febrero, a la que asistir&#225;n unos 400 participantes para presionar a favor de una PAC robusta, respaldada por un buen presupuesto. Tras el acto se celebrar&#225; una rueda de prensa. El Copa-Cogeca mandar&#225; un claro mensaje com&#250;n a los jefes de Estado y de gobierno, a los medios de comunicaci&#243;n y a las instituciones de la UE, en defensa de un buen presupuesto para la PAC. <\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">&#160;<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">Todos los agricultores de Europa est&#225;n unidos en este llamamiento a favor de un presupuesto s&#243;lido para la PAC, en respuesta a las demandas de la sociedad de seguridad, inocuidad y sostenibilidad de la producci&#243;n europea de alimentos de alta calidad a precios abordables. La agricultura es tambi&#233;n una pieza clave del crecimiento y el empleo en las zonas rurales; adem&#225;s de repercutir positivamente en otros sectores.<\/div>\n<div
